MIFoA Volunteer Program is an international volunteer network that will assist in the development and implementation of sustainable resources. Volunteers will engage, support, mentor, and uplift individuals, women, children, families, and underserved communities and will assist in achieving our short and long-term goals by creating and engaging coalitions and alliances.

Volunteering is at the very core of being a human.  No one has made it through life without someone else’s help.

Volunteers will:

  • Provide the education and training necessary to assist in the implementation of activities and programs provided by MIFoA.
  • Manage and/or coordinate activities, projects or program aimed at the development or growth of the recipients in the communities served.
  • Support partners in the preparation of programs focusing on their target population and improvement of data collections and dissemination to be used to teach women, children, and families that will promote self-reliance for personal and community benefit.
  • Provide strategic planning, consultation and training on educational program development for administrators, faculty and staff in educational systems in undeveloped villages and remote communities;
  • Collaborate, partner and participate with community leaders in the development and implementation of all activities in the underserved areas via face-to-face and/or virtual.

Internships will be offered for students who seek global service opportunities. These are voluntary internships, hosted in the Central Region of Ghana or the Southern Region of Uganda and conducted within a time frame agreed upon by both parties.

  • Under the supervision of a volunteer field coordinator(s), students will have a number of opportunities to support important community-driven projects in educational and environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Students will engage in cultural and educational activities to supplement their learning while in Africa.

Hatusaida kwa sababu tunavyo vingi lakini sababu wenzetu wana uhtaji zaidi yetu.
We don’t help others because we are right but because they are in need.
