If you educate a man you educate one individual, but if you educate a woman you educate a family.

The Vocational Training Program (VTP) will provide women and girls the opportunities to gain the skills and economic base to change their communities and the world.

The VTP for women and girls will enable and teach women and girls to become empowered through various projects.

The MIFoA VTP program will:

  • Provide women and girls in remote regions with scholarships to obtain vocational training and skills to become self-sufficient.
  • Provide microenterprise training workshops and educational programs that will empower women and girls to run their own business from their homes including beadmaking, sewing, hairdressing, cooking, and farming and poultry projects.
  • Provide funding and resources for sustainable farming and agricultural initiatives, such as agricultural supplies, seedlings and farming equipment to assist women cooperative groups that will enable them to meet their economic and cultural needs and to become self-sufficient.

Women and girls who participate in the Vocational Training Program will be encouraged to take their skills back to their community and help others find a means of earning an income while providing support for their families.

When you learn, teach. When you get, give.
