The vision of Mimosa is to foster international partnerships through multicultural interpersonal connections and those who are committed to global service.
Mission
MIFoA strives to provide educational opportunities and resources for children and families in underserved and remote communities across the continent of Africa and the African Diaspora to help them achieve self-sufficiency.
Goals
- To build and support the infrastructure of schools, community centers, clinics, and sustainable restorative eco-villages; and
- To promote the social, academic, and economic potential of the people so that a sense of self-fulfillment will be achieved in the communities; and
- To promote and provide resources for sustainable farming and agricultural initiatives; and
- To provide strategic planning and consultation for administrators, faculty, and staff in educational systems in underdeveloped villages and remote communities; and
- To provide educational resources and equipment for the academic success of children in underserved villages and communities; and
- To provide opportunities for children to engage in recreational, and competitive athletic programs; and
- To sponsor, host and/or participate in events and activities that promote the social, academic, spiritual, and economic well-being of individuals in their communities; and
- To directly engage in and provide resources for others to engage in educational opportunities for disadvantaged children, families, and communities in Africa, North America, South America, the Caribbean, and also, even other remote regions to help them achieve self-sufficiency.
