The vision of Mimosa is to foster international partnerships through multicultural interpersonal connections and those who are committed to global service.

Mission

MIFoA strives to provide educational opportunities and resources for children and families in underserved and remote communities across the continent of Africa and the African Diaspora to help them achieve self-sufficiency.

Goals

To build and support the infrastructure of schools, community centers, clinics, and sustainable restorative eco-villages; and
To promote the social, academic, and economic potential of the people so that a sense of self-fulfillment will be achieved in the communities; and
To promote and provide resources for sustainable farming and agricultural initiatives; and
To provide strategic planning and consultation for administrators, faculty, and staff in educational systems in underdeveloped villages and remote communities; and
To provide educational resources and equipment for the academic success of children in underserved villages and communities; and
To provide opportunities for children to engage in recreational, and competitive athletic programs; and
To sponsor, host and/or participate in events and activities that promote the social, academic, spiritual, and economic well-being of individuals in their communities; and
To directly engage in and provide resources for others to engage in educational opportunities for disadvantaged children, families, and communities in Africa, North America, South America, the Caribbean, and also, even other remote regions to help them achieve self-sufficiency.
